I’m still on leave here in Texas with my beautiful wife LaShawn and my hairy four legged child, Roscoe. Although I am going easy on the blog reading during my vacation, two blogs stood out, both written by good friends.
My battle buddy, Dan Black wrote an excellent piece on self motivation, The Key to Self Motivation. We all need to hear this every once in a while. How can we motivate others when we can’t even motivate ourselves.
The second post, 5 Leadership Lessons I Learned From An Exchange Server Failure is something that speaks to me on so many levels. First, it is from another good friend, Joe LaLonde. Second, it is a colleague in the IT field. Third, he talks about taking time to get away and refresh as leaders. Ah, yes. Vacation. Joe, that article was awesome.
